Some Windows 10 users have reported that when they sign-in using their Microsoft Account (MSA) i.e. Hotmail/Outlook email ID in Windows 10, their email ID is displayed on Login Screen below their user picture or avatar.
This issue doesn't occur for all people but some people face this issue only when they login using their Microsoft Account email ID.
Display of email ID publicly on Login Screen may not please everyone as anyone can read their email ID and can send spam emails to their email IDs. Many people may want to keep their email IDs private.
If you are also facing this issue and Windows 10 shows your email ID at login screen, this tutorial will help you in fixing the issue.
You can hide or remove your email ID from Windows 10 login screen to improve your privacy using following simple steps:
1. Open Settings app from Start Menu. Alternatively, you can press WIN+I keys together to open Settings directly.
2. Now click on Accounts icon in Settings app and then click on Sign-in Options tab present in left-side pane.
3. Scroll down to bottom and you'll see Show account details (e.g. email address) on sign-in screen option. This option would be set to ON.
Click on the toggle button and set this option to OFF.
That's it. Now check on the login screen and Windows will stop showing your email ID and other account details.
